Not that 10 people were necessary for this job, but lead guy assured me there'd be less than that. Crazy to have to consider.

And just like that, the bodies will be hidden where no one will find them for decades...

Spendy project. Doing anything fancy like textured or colored concrete?

Lol @ the one original house surrounded by a bunch of teardowns.

No, just plain concrete

Yeah, that’s our neighborhood. Ours is 1960, and we’ll be the last to live in it. I could have a check from a developer in a few days time, and the bulldozer would be here the day after that. And I could take that check and buy, i don’t know, out in Sterling or Loudoun.

Still expensive I bet. Congrats, should be nice.

Reminds me of the West End neighborhood here in Rockville. Desirable location, high values, many teardowns.

It was a necessity. Old driveway had room for one, and was pretty damaged. Had some concrete pavers for the Miata, but the leaf needed to go there to charge. So we needed a legit driveway, not just pavers that tended to get muddy. Ripping up the old one was a small add on compared to the cost of just pouring a new small addition

Yup. Type of place where average home value and median home value are 100-200,000 apart.
